In marble flooring, skirting can be done in two ways:
Skirting protrudes from the wall
Skirting is flush inside the wall, where a skirting groove is created inthe plaster above the skirting.
We recommend flushing the skirting inside the wall due to the following reasons:
In the traditional marble floor skirting design, Dust accumulates on top of protruding skirting. With flush tile skirting, this issue is eliminated as there is no exposed ledge.
Furniture, when kept against the wall, will have a gap behind (at the wall junction) due to the protruding skirting. Flush skirting tiles allow furniture to sit neatly against the wall.
Slightly more carpet area
The combination of tile skirting groove detailing and a clean groove above skirting provides a more refined and modern aesthetic.
The impact of the builder is an increase in the quantity of flooring material and an increase in project time

Excellent article! The explanation of flushed skirting with grooves on marble flooring is very clear and useful for modern interior design.
